Context
Treas – an online marketplace dedicated to showcasing sustainable fashion and jewellery from local designers based in Spain, with a focus on serving eco-conscious consumers across Europe. The project emerged as a response to fast fashion, aiming to provide a curated platform that prioritised ethical production, aesthetic quality, and a transparent connection between designers and customers.
Approach
The design strategy focused on clarity and simplicity, allowing the products to remain at the forefront. The interface was developed through iterative prototyping and user testing in Figma, with the final platform built in Shopify and extended through custom coding to meet specific functional needs.
Curation played a central role: brands were selected based on their commitment to sustainable practices, visual identity, and alignment with customer preferences. The shopping experience was designed to be seamless and intuitive, supported by user-generated content and feedback-driven refinements. Offline events further expanded the platform’s reach, encouraging community engagement and real-world interaction.
Despite strong engagement and early growth, the project concluded in spring 2025 due to limited investment opportunities within a highly competitive and cost-intensive market.
