Role
Curatorial team and communication designer
Context
A Seat at the Table was an interdisciplinary research and exhibition project exploring how spatial design can enable more inclusive and democratic modes of participation. The initiative asked critical questions: Who has access to decision-making spaces? Who is invited to speak, and who is left out? Developed in collaboration with social initiatives across Berlin and Brandenburg, the project addressed topics such as migration, sex work, neurodiversity, urban movement, and non-human cohabitation.
The final exhibition was held on 28–29 January 2024 at Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin, featuring five collaborative spatial interventions and a public programme of guided tours, workshops, and lectures.
Approach
Grounded in participatory research, the project paired student design teams with local organisations to develop context-specific spatial proposals. The outcomes ranged from adaptive rural structures and safer interior layouts to activist markets and ecological interventions. As part of the graphic design and visual communication team, I contributed to the curatorial concept, visual identity, publication materials, and exhibition coordination.
Throughout the process, the goal was to make complex social issues visible through spatial storytelling — challenging dominant narratives and offering new models of shared public space.
